Here is what the process typically looks like:
Inspection
A licensed technician performs a detailed inspection of your home and property to identify risk factors and signs of termite activity.
Installation
Bait stations are placed around the perimeter of your home in key locations where termites are most likely to travel. If termites are in your home, Above-ground Stations are installed. Above-ground Stations allow your termite problem to be dealt with immediately, right at the point of termite attack. The unique Focus Termite Attractant is added to your Stations at this time. This ensures the termites are attracted into the Station and do not pass between them and enter your home. This can mean a significant decrease in the time to colony elimination.
Monitoring
Your stations are checked regularly to look for termite activity and ensure the system is working properly. Adjustment are made and additional bait is added as needed.
This ongoing monitoring makes baiting systems especially valuable for long term protection.
How Termite Baiting Works
The first step is a thorough inspection of your home by a trained, experienced technician.
Termites are easily detected in the stations. The unique (patented) design of the station allows for termites to be seen without disturbing them.
Bait is added without disturbing the termites. This is vital to achieve quick and consistent results. The bait is quite tasty to termites and they readily consume it in preference to timber. Field studies show that once termites start feeding on the bait they stop feeding on timbers on the property! The bait is also very low toxicity to you, your pets and the environment.
The termites feed on the bait and take it back to the colony where it is fed slowly throughout the entire colony. Since the termites die gradually, they do not associate the colony’s demise with the bait. This ensures that the entire colony is eliminated.
Fresh interceptors are placed in the stations and ‘Peace of Mind’ monitoring continues. Your property always remains susceptible to future attack from new termite colonies or other established colonies in your area.
